Pathology-Infection Department
The Department covers Internal Pathology with the topics of Infections, Diabetes mellitus, Hematological diseases, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia – Metabolic Syndrome.
There is a regular preventive check-up department with laboratory – imaging examinations in cooperation with the Cardiology, Pulmonology, Radiology and Ultrasound Departments as well as with the Biopathology – Microbiology Department.
The doctors of the Department systematically support the non-pathological specialties in combination with the Preoperative Control for infections, monitoring of diabetic patients preoperatively and postoperatively.
Support is also provided for the Artificial Kidney Unit – Peritoneal Filtration.
Finally, all interventional – diagnostic tests are performed in collaboration with the respective departments (Bronchoscopy – Osteomyelitis Biopsy, etc).
