Orthopaedic Surgery
The White Cross Clinic has a fully organized orthopedic department specialized in sports injuries, hip surgery, arthroplasty and shoulder arthroscopy, upper and lower extremity surgery as well as distinguished orthopedic surgeons as partners for the treatment of all urgent and chronic orthopedic cases. With the support of modern technology and the application of the latest medical methods, they are treated:
1. All sports injuries. Arthroscopy is performed for all major joints and arthroscopic surgical treatment of meniscus tears, cruciate ligaments, rotator cuff of the shoulder, shoulder instability as well as damage or injuries to other joints.
2. Osteoarthritis of all joints by performing corrective osteotomies, chondro-transplants, partial or total arthroplasties with the most modern surgical techniques and the most advanced new bioimplantable materials for the joints of the hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow, as well as small joints of the upper and lower extremities.
Also, revision arthroplasty procedures are performed as well as arthroplasties for hip osteoarthritis in congenital dislocation or dysplasia using special implants and techniques.
3. Chronic deformities, with or without neurological damage, of the upper and lower limbs with a combination of surgical corrective bone and soft tissue interventions.
4. Diseases and injuries of nerves and tendons of the upper limb such as carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar neuritis and tenosynovitis.
5. Diseases and deformities of the foot. The most advanced techniques are performed with a small or customized incision for Hallux Valgus (bunions) as well as procedures for the correction of flatfoot, clubfoot, or clubfoot.
6. Musculoskeletal injuries, hip, upper, lower limb and pelvic fractures. All types of intramedullary halos, osteosynthesis and external osteosynthesis are performed, such as for interbody fractures.
